the nutcracker ballet
This afternoon I attended a Ballet West performance of The Nutcracker. The ballet is “the magical story of young Clara and her nutcracker-turned-prince.” The performance featured the music of Tschaikovsky, choreography by Willam Christensen (the founder of Ballet West), and of course the wonderful dancers of the Ballet West company. robots
While appearances can and often are deceiving the Classic Wind-up Robot from Hammacher Schlemmer looks pretty damn cool. Furthermore, the seven foot reproduction of Robby the Robot as seen in the classic film the Forbidden Planet is worth seeing. But at $50,000 for Robby I’m afraid the $20 Classic Wind-up Robot is more in my price range.
